What is Hair Restoration with PRP?
Hair restoration is the process of treating areas of hair thinning or hair loss on the scalp. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a concentrate of proteins and growth factor derived from blood that has been centrifuged to remove the red blood cells. The PRP is drawn up into a syringe and the injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.

How does Hair Restoration with PRP work?
PRP contains several growth factors that have been shown to have an overall rejuvenating effect to the scalp as it strengthens the existing hair follicles as well as stimulates new follicle units. As the platelets organize in the injection site they release several enzymes to promote healing and tissue responses including attracting stem cells to repair the weak follicles in that area. The process should be done in a series of 4 treatments and in conjunction with Nutrafol (supplements) and Hair Science serums and shampoos. After the initial four treatments, continued follow up maintenance treatments are recommended either at the 6 month or 1 year mark.
